The station is isolated at the center of a new pedestrian ground. Its flooring design unifies the platform with the space in front of it, transformed into a square to welcome tourists and inhabitants. Vehicular flows are interrupted on the side of the square hosting the roundabout with the short-stop parking spots. The redesign of the square is based on alternate strips of porphyry cobble cubes, which define &#8211; in designers\u2019 words &#8211; a \u201ccarpet of natural stones\u201d interrupted by the presence of some small, squared flowerbeds recalling their rhythm.
